For our second unit, we learned about thresholds, toxicity, and risk. To start off the unit, we created a project called "Chicken Little, Chicken Big" to amusingly show how the threshold of something depends on the size of it. For example, a very small chicken will reach its threshold before a large chicken.
We spent the rest of the unit with different assignments to really understand thresholds, toxicity, and risk.
Toxicity is the degree to which a substance can damage an organism.
Risk is a situation involving exposure to danger.
